Lessons from Malaysia’s Last Great Industrial Battle
The 1978–79 MAS-AEU struggle was one of the most significant industrial battles in Malaysia’s post-independence history. Thousands of airline workers confronted management, state repression and the limits of trade union struggle, while receiving remarkable international solidarity.
