About Us

Who We Are

We organise alongside workers, young people, students and oppressed communities in struggles for democratic rights, economic justice, social equality and environmental protection. We argue that these struggles are connected—and that capitalism is the common source of poverty, racism, war, ecological destruction and exploitation.

Malaysia’s mainstream parties defend the interests of big business and the wealthy. Workers and young people need an independent political voice: one rooted in collective struggle, democratic organisation and a socialist programme capable of changing society.

Our Mission

We work to build fighting trade unions, confident youth movements and a mass political alternative for the working class. We seek to unite people across race, religion, gender and nationality around their shared interests—and to replace rule for profit with democratic planning for human need.

What We Fight For

A living wage and secure work

• A minimum wage of RM20 an hour or RM3,600 a month, automatically rising with the cost of living.
• The right to secure, dignified work; oppose retrenchment, outsourcing and the abuse of contract labour.
• Full trade-union rights, democratic unions and protection for every worker—local or migrant.
• Affordable, high-quality public housing, transport, healthcare and recreation.

Free, democratic education

• Free, high-quality education for all, funded fully through public resources.
• End privatisation and corporate control of education.
• Academic freedom, decent conditions for educators and independent, democratic student unions.

Rights, equality and democracy

• Defend freedom of speech, assembly, protest and political organisation.
• Oppose police violence, racism, sexism and every form of discrimination.
• Full rights for women, LGBTQ+ people, national minorities, refugees and Indigenous communities.
• Democratic local elections and representatives accountable to ordinary people—not corporate interests.

International solidarity and socialism

• International solidarity among workers and oppressed peoples against war, imperialism and occupation.
• Freedom for Palestine and the right of all oppressed peoples to determine their own future.
• Rapid public action on climate change, with the major corporations brought into democratic public ownership.
• A democratic socialist society in which resources are planned to meet the needs of people and the planet—not private profit.

Our goal is to help build a socialist political force in Malaysia—internationalist, democratic and rooted in the power of workers and young people.
